At this internship, I isolated bacteria from vermicompost samples. I identified the bacteria using their DNA. Throughout the internship I shadowed PhD students, and analyzed their data.

During my research, I identified some difficulties in keeping track of data and noticed researchers at the School of Mines also had a similar problem. To combat this, I created a lab management app for researchers, called ProTrack. They can update their project's data and manage lab equipment using this app. I also integrated AI to create project reports. I was invited to present this app at BioWrap's Annual coference at the University of Lincoln-Nebraska, to a group of professors and PhD students.
